This position follows a hybrid work model and requires up to three days per week in the office. We have two locations in Germany: one in the Bavarian capital of Munich, and our headquarters in Berlin. The whole company comes together once a year to celebrate our successes together.
What you will be doing
- You will advise the management and all departments in relevant areas of law, such as commercial laws, data privacy and digital technologies, licensing, and financial regulatory matters.
- You will draft, review, and negotiate our software-as-a-service, distribution, and cooperation agreements with clients and partners, including complex international contracts, as well as contracts with IT and service providers.
- You will develop and implement company-wide standard contract templates and guidelines as well as contract lifecycle management processes to maximize the efficiency of our contract management.
- You will work closely with departments such as sales, account management, marketing, product development, and customer support to holistically support multi-stakeholder projects with sound legal advice and clear recommendations.
- You will play a key role in the analysis, development and optimization of our data protection management system.
- You will analyze new legal requirements in the financial and digital sectors and how they apply to the company and its products.
- You will support our Risk & Compliance team in risk assessments as well as identifying legal risks, controls and mitigating actions.
What you bring to the team
- Education: Fully qualified lawyer or a degree in law or business law (e.g., LL.B., LL.M).
- Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
- Solution-Finding Skills: Ability to explain legal requirements and contractual terms and conditions to non-legals and achieve pragmatic legal solutions to meet client needs.
- Self-Driven and Motivated: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying motivated to achieve goals.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills in German and English.
